FAQ

[THIS IS CURRENTLY A WORK IN PROGRESS, BEAR WITH US]

Q) What is Band-It Magazine?
A) We are, put simply, the textual media advocate and outlet for underexposed, local, and unsigned bands/artists; and the venues, fans, record stores, and local scenes that support them. This site was designed as a means of representing not only the magazine, but as a tool to help you, the readers, interact with us, the zine, and bands.

Q) How do I sign up?
A) Click "Register" at the top of the site, and follow the instructions presented. Make sure to fill in all required fields.

Q) I changed my profile avatar picture, but it isn't showing up, Why?
A) Once you change your profile avatar picture it can take up to 24hrs for the picture to actually change.

Q) I tried creating a show but all it does is reload the submission form.
A) What is most likely occurring is you have input an illogical start and end date. For instance a show can't start on the 6th and end on the 2nd of the same month, nor can it start at 10pm and end at 2pm the same day. Make sure your dates and times make sense, or else the submission form will reload until you correct your mistake.

Q) I submitted an article and its not showing up, what's the deal?
A) Articles have to pass through administrative approval before they are fully published to the site for public view. This is to reduce, spam, bots, and unwanted content. *Please note that currently Article creation is limited primarily to the Staff*

Q) What does Band-It Magazine do with my personal information I submit when I create an account?
A) Please review our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for more information regarding this issue.

Q) What is your policy on copyright infringement
A) Please review our Terms and Conditions, specifically the section on copyright.

Q) How do I report copyright infrigement?
A) If you believe that someone else has uploaded YOUR copyrighted content without your permission, you must provide Band-It Magazine with:
1.) Identify the material on the Band-It Magazine site that you claim is infringing;
2.) A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
3.) A statement by you declaring under penalty of perjury that (1) the above information in your Notice is accurate, and (2) that you are the owner of the copyright interest involved or that you are authorized to act on behalf of that owner;
4.) Your address, telephone number, and email address; and
5.) Your physical or electronic signature.

Q) I found a bug, How do I report it?
A) Remember what the bug was, and where, click the [Report Bugs] button on the top Menu (shaped like a bug), fill out the provided form with the appropriate information.

  • As it stands currently, our projected readership base for our print issues are confined to college students. With school being out for the summer it seems rather unwise to put out a print issue this summer with there being little or no prospects of a large readership.

  • We now have two NEW songs up guys. Well new as in just put up here, we made them back in 06
